This is really helpful for a lean startup. Helps pull some load away from servers and you get all the benefits of a CDN and caching.

It makes sense if they need to do maintenance but there has to be some code of conduct / guidelines for a VPS provider.

Either way, I stopped using Godaddy a while back - slicehost is amazing for developers and hackers.

Perhaps, we should wait for Yelp to give their side of the story before hanging them a-priori. Perhaps a runaway sales account exec couldn't meet his/her targets and got cheeky.
