I love this! I'm starting to feel this is a solution to a lot of info-overload stress in our lives. I'm making an iOS app with the same slant: every day has its own list, so you start fresh every day, or you can add to your tomorrow's list at night so you start the day prepared. I also added a bullet-journal-like view for the month and it all adds up to a lot less stress than what I've been doing before (the testflight is at https://testflight.apple.com/join/t5ZpRV2l )

Not to mention that adding an image chops 20+ chars of my limit. Want a URL in there and maybe a hashtag? You're down to less than 100 characters. These arbitrary platform limits should not burden the end user.

It's amazing that Apple managed to go from hatching the idea in mid-2010 to releasing a fully working framework 4 years later, with tight IDE integration, huge amount of testing and compatibility without a single leak (that I've heard of).

I feel it's really important for us, as consumers, to support companies like Newegg. This strategy is really risky for them (despite all the good PR it brings).

It's easy for patent trolls to just move onto different targets and avoid suing combative companies like Newegg, but if we vote with our dollars maybe more companies will see that they too should take a stand.

And the on-boarding process was so painful - it took me weeks to load up ALL my photos onto Everpix. After they failed, I signed up with Loom and again it took over a month for it all to upload. I feel sad as I don't envy the next startup that tries to "solve" this very real problem.

Except for this bit:

> Facebook is testing a pop-up notification that asks users who haven't reviewed their settings in a while whether they'd like their posts to be shared publicly by default, to their friends by default or another more specific setting.

I feel this is an attempt to get those of us only sharing with friends to reconsider sharing publicly.

Also important to note: Fastmail has been rock solid for me (and I should know - over 10 years there). Gmail outages seem frequent compared to the number of times I remember FM going down.

I just wanted to say how slick their service is, I just used it earlier today and was paired with a very competent agent. I'm now waiting for the day Flightfox can take care of the whole thing, including booking a flight. There is a definite opportunity there!

I always felt Medium borrowed heavily from Svbtle, which came first. Now, Svbtle brings something different to the table: like Medium, it's simple to use and focused on writing. Unlike Medium, you get to own your identity, use your CNAME, etc...
