If you added RSS, I would like to add it to my news site https://news-hud.com/ which has a similar philosophy of cutting down on cruft.
smenis | 7 years ago | on: Show HN: I made a platform for journalists to “open source” their fact checking
Thanks for posting this, I really enjoyed browsing Wikiclaim and it feels to me like I've never seen anywhere on the Internet that centralises this kind of content (commonly heard claims with info for/against)...
Having said that, the usual strategy when I hear a new claim I'm not sure about is to google it; so is the Google search engine itself the competition for this site? It does try to give an "answer" at the top of search results these days. Then there is Quora.
The main advantage Wikiclaim has is that, like Wikipedia, the info can be moderated and updated, and hopefully can become an improving source of truth. Godspeed, devinplatt!
smenis | 7 years ago | on: Ask HN: Work-life balance?
To add some balance to all the full-time people here: I work 20 hours per week. Which usually means 4 hours per day, 5 days a week. But, I can (and do) re-organise those hours depending on what activities I plan... meaning, I can take an extended week-end if I want to, or, have a day off in the middle of the week and work at the week-end instead, for example.
The rest of the time I work on things that I'm excited to learn about and improve in, like working outdoors, or... painting :D.
