It's name in English is the Communist Part of China, CPC not CCP.

on: Gross Apple Marketing
Yesterday I was walking in Greece and saw a sign I couldn't read so asked my Meta glasses and it gave me a translation and short explanation quickly, which was very helpful.
But generally, yes the uses aren't there. In the Apple AI video, the worst is that the 'more professional' text, actually reads much less professional.
If someone in a business situation sends you an AI generated email (and it's obviously AI it's so easy to tell) it makes it seem like they are unable to write English properly, giving the opposite impression than intended.

I had a similar thought. I knew someone who lived a life of crime, for a long time he was very poor like most criminals, but for a while made it big. He could buy anything he wanted, he always liked suits so bought very nice suits. But they meant nothing to him, he couldn't enjoy them, as he didn't
earn then.
I wonder if it will be the same with AI. When you can have anything for nothing, it has no value. So the digital world will have little meaning.

on: Making your own hot sauce
Yes but you assume that 100 per year is a fair sample of the population, when in fact it's possible that of the 10,000 Americans making their own hot sauce each year, 100 of them get bubonic chilli plague or whatever it is and die. So your chance of death is 1 in 100. Stick with Tabasco folks!

And the vast majority of their ad money, comes from ads that show on searches. So if they lose search, they lose the ads too. So their money is in search.

on: No alcohol safe to drink, global study confirms (2018)
Alcohol is an addictive drug. Sure, if you have one drink a day it MIGHT relax you. But you also run the real risk of becoming an alcoholic and dying. Given that alcohol kills so many people, it doesn't seem worth the risk.

I notice a couple of the transactions there are in Greece. I am a Brit living in Greece, and I am SURE some very reputable Greek websites are compromised. My card details get leaked when I buy on Greek sites, I am sure it's them.

on: Snap’s Drop in Active Users Could Signal a Social Media Peak
The new Snap design is awful. It's confusing and difficult to use and overly pushes promoted content onto me. I am a young male, I don't care what snap chat stories some women's fashion magazine (or any other 'mainstream media' for that matter) are publishing. Why does Snap try and push it in my face?
Snap could have been something amazing, a true rival to Facebook perhaps, but now instagram just does it all better.

It didn't, the roots of the word are from the Anglo-Norman word surgien ~900 years ago.
The similarities would be that both the German and the English words would share their roots in the latin chirurgia, which in turn comes from the Greek kheirourgia ‘handiwork, surgery’, from kheir ‘hand’ + ergon ‘work’

I think this is the place I stayed when I went to see Bob Dylan play in Blackpool 2013. It wasn't too bad, Blackpool is a sh*tehole anyway what do you expect. Dylan was great though, best night of my life.

Cool, I am a paid subscriber of VMO! One of our issues is that our customers view a product page multiple times before buying, but if we run a VMO split test they see multiple versions. How do we set it so a person only see's one version of the split test?

You find the Magento reporting much better? I've never tried reporting in Shopify, but Magento out of the box is very very limited.

Shopify constantly seem to be pushing new ground, although I find it hard to imagine a store on that platform turning over $1,000,000+ just seems to limited unlike Magento.
