What happens if someone steals your laptop from the table at the end of the conveyor? Does TSA have any liability since the laptop was taken from your possession by them?

I am aware of the connotation that you sited. But my point is that he is being tried in the media, and perception matters. So, no, I don't think it's OK to label him as a traitor.

No. He has not been convicted of treason. We still have due process.

Local law enforcement doesn't need million dollar drones or a sizable payload. There are already many small cheap drones available for local use. All that is really needed is a functioning camera.

I think you quoted me and posted in the wrong place.
What about a system that had no data retention but could actively scan and compare to a list of plates that had warrants, Amber Alerts or BOLO's. Surveillance is only going to get easier with tech. Rules of use is what is important.

My nephew is a detective who just worked an Abduction/Murder case. The suspect was located (and later convicted) largely in part because of the license plate scanners. One thing you cannot argue, they are incredibly effective.
My problem is the infinite retention of that data and the fact that many agencies use a private third party for the system.
I think eliminating the scanners is a bad thing, but I would like to see some basic rules that would have to be followed.

Failure is a part of growth. This may be a monumental failure, but this blog is both therapeutic and introspective for the author. Examining failures helps us as we move forward.
We get the added benefit of looking in from the outside. Kudos for coming forward with this kind of honesty.

The last upgradable mac is now dead. I thought the whole idea of the pro was the ability to put in graphic and other specialty cards as needed for "Pro" use. This looks like another cute consumer PC. Maybe they'll sell it along side the HP's at Sam's Club.
