I'd actually add that it was about user engagement (there is a huge overlap in whatsapp users and facebook users). WhatsApp has far more daily usage than even Facebook boosts, and this was the initial statistic that Facebook was able to point to as validation at it's inception.

I'd like to help a fellow hacker in need! We have a project that could use some django expertise. I'd love to see some of your work first though, mind sending it my way? My email is in my profile.

Used to work in International Dev for a ecom company, and India was a serious target. We ended up going elsewhere because of delivery infrastructure and local competitors, that free delivery is going to be a huge advantage.

Beautiful interface! I actually was throwing around the idea of an audio only Youtube player, can is there a way to toggle the video?

I like the idea, but there absolutely has to be some sort of indicator that you're interested in recording this convo (and the less invasive the better). How about linking it to calendar events, and/or locations? Facial rec could be an indicator for recording when you hit Glass integration.

Looks like they're headed to the Knowledge Graph team, but I'd like to see some love for the news division, especially from NLP badasses like Wavii.

I agree, the lack of an animated gif background is a relative sign of taste and restraint in the angelfire era.

I love this! Simple, and can create meaningful and lasting connections.

I am using it as a way to tell the story my sister and her fiancee, as I am officiating their wedding. I have been struggling with what to say for months, and finally, by assembling the family's stories here and using this as a framework, I am starting to make some headway.

Thank you Storyworth team, this is truly something meaningful and beautiful that you have created here.

I of course agree that you find problem before product, and find it unfortunate that many R&D shops and Universities are engineered the other way around. Luckily for my friend they've actually found success using this platform in education, specifically teaching autistic children, as well as in film (and animation) for storyboarding.

My friend is turning his PhD research into a visualization app that creates images from the text you enter, he's at wordseye.com. Glad to hear that other people are excited about this area.

Thanks for sharing this, any recommendations for a great immigration lawyer?

I spent some time in Japan studying different forms of meditation, mostly Rinzai zazen on Koya-san, and find it to be quite beneficiary for high pressure jobs. I also find meditative activities to be a nice supplement or more social form of meditation. I especially like the long walks (I'm a big fan of the walk and talk meetings) and various athletic actives (like surfing or climbing) that force you to empty your mind and focus.

The major problem I see from data driven decisions is the lack of logical failsafes for causation versus correlation. I think you'd have to know more about the waste disposal landscape for this particular anecdote to be able to draw these suppositions about individual restaurant compliance.
