But GV gives you a number and handles forwarding... for free. Is porting worth $120/year?

Perhaps it could also be argued that she doesn't use it because she understands it too well... Come on, you think that new NSA station in Utah is limited to foreign surveillance?!

I'm not going to debate absolutes, but it is patently obvious that Android is relatively more open than iOS or Windoze by such an immense margin that your statement seems, well... asinine. Could it be better? Yes, absolutely. But, given the BS business model that Microsoft has always had (which is really the same for Apple, though they are better at marketing), Android is a hippie commune by comparison.
What do you think about the prospect of Gecko?

Title should be "... better at blocking malware on the steaming pile that is Windows...". Chrome/Fox are just fine on my Linux box.

I reiterate, the usage was off. I could give a fuck, honestly, about bad language. But when I cuss, it is for a fucking reason.
Get it? I didn't mask anything above with "*" . I fucking committed to it. Swear like you got a pair, or don't bother.

Yeah, the vulgarity seems off to me. I love a good curse word here and there, but you have use them wisely (or else you just sound like a jackass).

I hear you: it sucked. But no matter how much a default setting might suck, it is still a "setting", as in, it can be changed. Unity got Canonical started down a very slippery slope. I can't imagine they're dog-fooding this crap.

Yeah, Lubuntu looks promising. I'm very happy with Mint's Debian edition, but I'll have to set up a box with Lub.
Ubuntu server is still excellent.

on: Dear Canonical: please let me pay for Ubuntu
I switched to Linux Mint Debian Edition a while back. Cinnamon is a great desktop. Don't miss the steaming pile of Ubuntu. It was great while it lasted, but then came Unity and now they're hitting us with adverts? I don't get it. Seems like they're trying to kill demand.

Modern cybersecurity threats generally involve (1) legions of zombie computers and (2) weak native OS security.
"No Windows = No Problem" is not an overstatement. The fact that we have nuclear power plants running on Windows in this country is abso-fucking-lutely terrifying.
