on: Samsung 'blocks' exploding Note 7 parody videos
Maybe this has nothing to do with DMCA and more to do with Samsung spending millions of dollars in advertising on Youtube (speculation). If one of your major sponsors threatens to pull back advertising dollars, that supports your platform, maybe you bow to their requests. Maybe.

"Obama’s star turn at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser at Y Combinator in Mt. View has been changed to a new location because of logistics and security considerations. The event, co-hosted by Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and Y Combinator CEO Sam Altman, is now slated at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, sources say."

on: Mobile web design: The reign of morons, indeed
This. Complaining about how hard it is to read someone else's website when you use an awful green text on black background is reason enough for me to not take you seriously. It's a Wordpress site, for god's sake, and that is the template you came up with (or chose)? Glass houses, indeed.

on: Rep Justin Amash: Strip NSA Of Power To Collect Phone Data On Innocent Americans
If you paid more attention to what Amash is doing, rather than hating him for his party affiliation, you would see he is much more than what you claim he is.
Amash is one of the few in Congress that posts his votes and reasoning on his Facebook page. Very transparent. I would say he is also a lot more Libertarian than he is Tea Party. He is for protecting us and (what's left of) the Constitution.
As my representative, I will continue to vote for him and his run for Senate, regardless of his pro-gun, anti-abortion views, religion, or party. We need more Amash's in our government to protect the people and the Constitution.

on: EA refuses to refund user for SimCity, threatens account ban
I wasn't aware the game didn't release for Mac until later this Spring. I bought it, tried to install it and contacted EA after realizing my mistake. After waiting for 45 minutes for a person to answer the LiveChat, then 5 minutes after that, and I had my refund. I've rethought my purchase and probably won't buy it when it comes out for Mac. (Unless they make major changes to the Mac version because of the backlash. nudge nudge EA)

I think we should pressure JSTOR to release the documents into the public domain. If it is in the best interest.

Thank you. I am using this as my cover photo to bring awareness to Aaron's work. Strangely enough, I celebrated the death of my best friend, who killed himself 13 years ago, yesterday. Another brilliant mind taken too soon.

on: Aaron Swartz on illness and depression
I just found out I am gluten intolerant. The symptoms he describes are that of an intolerance to gluten. After reading the post, I was glad to see a comment that recognized this. It isn't fun and is really hard to get things done when you constantly feel sick.
