To clarify a few things:

1. The first vote passed successfully into stage 2 meaning a protocol upgrade has been selected and is being voted on for inclusion.

2. Smart contracts are written in Michelson, a stack based language that can be formally verified. Other user friendly languages have been built on top of it.

3. The software of Tezos is written in OCaml which can also be formally verified.

4. There have been several security audits and, as far as I know, no issues were found.

5. Tezos has never been hacked.

6. It uses a unique flavor of PoS called Liquid PoS. It is designed to be as decentralized as possible meaning the barriers for becoming a baker (equiv. to a Bitcoin miner) are very low.

7. #6 is also designed to make voting as decentralized as possible.

+1 for Sony Xperia. I had one until it fell out of my pocket on a lake (always wondered how long it operated being waterproof).

That was my first and last Android phone however. If you think Android is a decent OS try removing Google from it.

If you are ok with Android, Sony hardware is good. Was my second favorite phone vs my X. The screen was 4K and the audio was great for a phone. It was on the heavy side but well built. Lots of battery.

Boy does this person need to look at the ‘good headphone’ market.

I paid (a very reasonable) $2k for a set of reference headphones and a suitable amp/DAC to drive them.

I could have spent a lot more.

It is hard to drive a set of headphones with enough SQ to make them worthwhile.

You cannot plug a set of headphones into an Android phone and expect anything good to happen. And lots of DAPs suffer from software problems as well (lots of them are Android based...).

Getting good sound from a portable device, without software issues, is really only solved at the top end of the market ($700 - $4000).

It’s a bit easier if you want to use a computer as a source but far from cheap.

No offense but if you can say that ‘American Italian vs Italian’ comment with a straight face you need to travel more. Food is a lot more complex than how you’re describing it. Yes, you can have good Italian food anywhere in the world (my favorite is Lenzi, which is in Bangkok) but there’s no comparison to eating good Italian food in, say, Florence. I’m typing this looking at the river Arno. Eating Italian food here is transcendent.

We were discussing Thai curry. There are some dishes cooked in Thailand that are marinated or slow cooked, but curries aren’t. Southern curries are cooked a little longer. But it’s common to get e.g., massaman curry in Thailand with undercooked potatoes.

Thai curry is cooked quickly, usually in a wok. Japanese curry, in contrast, is usually simmered for a long time. The latter is to thicken and soften the meat and vegetables. Thai curry’s consistency is managed by using more or less coconut milk vs the actual paste. And the meat and vegetable pieces are cut much smaller so they cook almost instantly.
