Every one have/can express their own opinion being said that but speaking about some one dead recently on the merits of subjective term ('hero') is quite distasteful (IMHO) and makes me sad, makes me even sadder since it came from some one i respect.

I'm not a fan boy ( never owns a Apple made products so far) just that i don't think its going to constructive for any one around here, YMMV

Great day to quote from Dijkstra's good old article. At that time(1957) programming was not considered as a profession!

Extract from Humble Programmer[1]

"..in 1957, I married and Dutch marriage rites require you to state your profession and I stated that I was a programmer. But the municipal authorities of the town of Amsterdam did not accept it on the grounds that there was no such profession. And, believe it or not, but under the heading "profession" my marriage act shows the ridiculous entry "theoretical physicist"!.."

Not really, Amazon web services launched Elastic Cache based on Memcache thats Dotcloud's meal. Since Amazon is mostly customer driven more the need for specific platform AWS will launch likely.

I really like this DotCloud business model. Although i see a competition directly from Amazon Cloud Formation. What will happen to DotCloud if all the independent vendors make their software Cloud Formation ready?

There is a difference here, DotCloud making the platform ready for to you vs the vendor makes the platform cloud formation ready.(Thats AWS they make others to work for them)

Would love to see how this little, nimble start up being chased by a big, fat, bully AWS, fights back.

IMO, i feel this is a design flaw. Without understanding what's a NOSQL used for you can't except joins to work.

Shouldn't there be a checklist to show "What applications can be moved to cloud (appengine here)? including the myths, expectations, assertions?"

I'm sorry I have deleted it now. Im really tired of the local community here, found very few interesting and admiring ex dev_camp.I have found many smart people outside this community who code alot.I honestly feel those are real. The one who code alot and then speak. YMMV.

thebootstrapper | 15 years ago | on: Hacker News India

May be I sounded arrogant? I'm really tired of the community here meet/attended so many people doing "Introduction to .." talks. Discovered later the real one's never attend / participate the "community events" they just code and speak less.
