> We’re acutely aware of our responsibilities to the people who use our service and to society more generally. We’re embarrassed, we’re disappointed, and more than anything, we’re sorry. We know that we must work to regain your trust, and we will support all efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. We hope that our openness and transparency throughout this process, and the steps and work we will take to safeguard against other attacks in the future, will be the start of making this right.

It's not easy to say those words about your own company.

I really believe them.

People say that they loved medium in the past because of their custom domains. I think that they also had issues back then.

If your company is still running on Medium you're very limited with customizing your blog.

You can't add any CTA button, popup window, widget, or anything that can help you to justify your blog exsistance. If 1000 people get into your blog post, only around 30 will hit your homepage.

Compare it to other blogs where you can design it the way you want, because great UX and some traffic from Medium, I don't see the benefit of it.

I worked in an office few years ago, we were mostly mens and a certain kind of (in my opinion) toxic jargon was developed there.

It might be an unpopular opinion but I do think that when men and women are at the same place the chances the environment will be come toxic is way lower.

I wonder if it will happen in online community such as HN or even /r/programming on Reddit.

exactly. I'm not saying that those companies are perfect, but writing opinion articles only against them it's becoming a bit too much.

You can also find it in many marketing strategies of some companies. Take duckduckgo for example, I love them more than google but I'm kinda tired of 'Use us, Because Google is BAD' approach

Without a strong and supportive community, renaming a company is hard. Riot is in a place when they can afford doing it (not money wise... community wise) Good project, I'm curious to know what the new name will be

"This month's Most Valuable Person (MVP) is Jacopo Beschi "

What a cool company culture. telling people they are doing good in person is nice, telling it to them and also sharing it with the world is great

Great article. I'm sure that there are plenty of people here who went to university and also run a successful company. If any of you see this comment:

If you could change the way the university tech you, what you would do?
