on: How does Docker affect energy consumption?
Its common sense to understand that when you run an extra application (docker) in one machine and compare it with another machine which do have it, everything else remaining the same, the machine which runs the extra application consumes more energy. Don't need a paper or watts up to prove that. That is the reason I said, its a paper presented for the sake of it and nothing more.

This is just a paper presented for the sake of a paper presentation, like myriad of papers presented. Nothing to see here, should move on.

on: How to Survive as a Solo Dev for Like a Decade or So
The best advice that I got was don't quit your full time job. My desktop sharewares dont sell that often nowadays, but its enough to pay my rent and monthly expenses. The salary that I get from my full time job goes direct to my bank untouched.
> "Working from a cafe"
100% agree. For me, no work gets done from a cafe. I wonder what work people do by sitting at Starbucks. I cant write one line of code if I am being constantly distracted. Does anyone feel different ?

on: Why Chinatown Produce Is Cheap (2016)
What I believe is as long as there is a demand for this service and there is profit to be made, there will be people willing to cater for it, either the children or someone else.

It has been 125 years since this started and I dont see it stopping in the near future. And why do you think "their kids (or grandkids) will continue the same profession as their parents ?
