The idea is that two stores shouldn't be able to sell one unique product. I would argue otherwise..

Author feels that there is a link between Amazon and both storefronts. IE Laptop purchased from store A Returned. Same laptop sold as new from Store B. Author checked original storefront name with original customer after finding customer's PII. Author feels Amazon is creating fake store fronts for some reason. Author also investigative journalist in need of new scoop.

Do you have any evidence to support your begging theory? I would guess that the homeless go where they can get shelter without being arrested. But I haven't checked the research.

I get the impression that there is another benefit here. Each tenant has their own space to be responsible for. It's small enough to manage but maybe brings a sense of ownership that would be lacking in a regular municipal type shelter or shared apartment block.

Agree completely. Do it properly and LA will not have the kind of class war affecting NorCal.
Forcing people to work out of the most congested and expensive parts of LA is going to compound the misery. Why anyone thinks it's a good idea to base themselves West of the 405 is beyond me.
I sincerely hope they base this out of Burbank/Glendale which gives ready accessibility to Pasadena, East LA, Hollywood and further North without commute hell.

This is what happens when you pay lip service to customer support but keep them at the bottom of the food chain. You must employ good CS managers and empower them to communicate. You must then ensure that any variance in service good or bad is communicated either by your social networking presence or to your key customers. Sadly most places I've worked are run egocentric idiots who are so insecure they couldn't possibly allow autonomy on the front lines.
