on: The regenerating power of Big Basin’s redwoods
Redwoods are touch even when you do cut them down. The trunks will put up water shoots immediately, and you'll have another small tree in a couple of years. The problem is all the other species that live in an old growth forest can't survive in a brand new forest.

on: Don’t use sugar substitutes for weight loss, World Health Organization advises
I eat a lot of veggies and some nuts. Vegetables and fruit have a lot of starch in them, which slows down the rate your body absorbs the sugar. I rarely eat fruit, most things are too sweet and disgusting.

on: Don’t use sugar substitutes for weight loss, World Health Organization advises
I've completely eliminated sugar from my diet. People are genuinely confused on how I do it. (the answer: just don't eat it.) But honestly, your sense of sweetness adjusts to it. Things with sugar in it are foul, as in I can't even eat them (for example, A1 steak sauce or spaghetti sauce).
The other thing that the article doesn't mention is that some of the alternative sweeteners are terrible for your gut biome, and an unhealthy gut biome is already linked to obesity.

And therefor you don't need to maintain a puddle in the workpiece. I'm assuming silver tig welds like copper, the heat flows away from the puddle so fast that the entire thing turns into a blob.

TBH, I'm pretty sure it had some type of resonator to make it even louder than a straight pipe. It had an extremely obnoxious timbre, and having driven vehicles with no muffler (only temporarily!) I'd say this car was significantly louder.

Ended up having a lawyer write a letter, got the entire neighborhood to sign it (which shows how pissed I was, since I'm very nonconfrontational), and sent it to his landlord. Funny enough, his landlord is named Elmer, and has the social skills of Elmer Fud.

I did. The police officer told me that he himself drove a loud sports car, and his neighbors complained to him about it, and we just need to get used to it since it's part of driving a sports car.
Needless to say, I was not writing a letter of my compliments to his supervisor.

After getting a lovely neighbor with a straight piped Dodge Challenger, I completely understand the statement "it’s about feeling trapped or helpless when you can’t get away from these sounds."
Also, if you have a straight piped Dodge Challenger, I assure you your neighbors hate you.

The other problem in house wiring is that when you tighten down the screw to attach the aluminum wire to the terminal, the aluminum work hardens, and expansion/contraction/vibration will cause it to break.

I'm genuinely curious, how common were lifelong injuries from unsafe playgrounds? I'm 32, and even the structures I had as a kid are now gone. And those were tame compared to what my parents had. Yet I can't think of anyone that had serious injuries from them. In comparison, I know multiple people that have lifelong injuries they will never fully recover from drunk driving.
