Would you get the same development experience using a hackintosh or iHac? From my understanding these types of builds would only be suitable for home use.

on: Base Rails 5.1 application with pre-configured tools and features
It would be cool if you could
have a command line feature where we could select what packages we want to use and also add details about the app. Rails composer is pretty interesting too and it has this feature.

on: Darpa Funds Development of New Type of Processor
The way things are now, that corporation is probably creating jobs in china, india or SEA and storing its "value" in Ireland. Just to sidetrack for a second, I know we're still quite far from ai taking away jobs from the software industry, but oh boy when that day comes I won't feel one bit sorry for you. It doesn't take much to fall through the cracks in society and I hope you learn this the hard way.

Maybe the money taxed from that said corporation could be channeled to pay for universal income.

Also IIRC General Douglas MacArthur wanted to use 30-50 atomic bombs along manchuria during the korean war, he claimed that it would have resulted in a sort border of radiation for 60 years and would prevent any invasion of korea from the north

I only can speak for malaysia and yes this issue doesn't get brought up much, it's quite sickening to be honest. What is even more interesting is that most of the housekeepers are hired by the middle class, the same middle class that is wants racial equality in malaysia..

on: Ask HN: What do you use to align your daily todos with your long term goals?
Most of the cards are fixed. So for instance my morning list has checklist cards like: Exercise, Daily reading, To Read etc.. The only exceptions are cards based on things I need to do for that day, i.e send email to x or call y, these cards will get archived and deleted.
