While using a fake name is fairly common among published authors, it’s also very common for the fake name to be linked back to a real life identity. Is it possible for an author to remain completely anonymous from the publisher and still receive payment for his or her work?
Why would a major publisher want to take the risk that the author isn't somebody reprehensible who would bring bad publicity to the press when their identity is revealed.
