Fix for TouchID mac login checkbox after MacOS update

2 points| Thespian2 | 7 years ago

For MacBook Pro users whose TouchID checkbox to unlock their mac no longer stays checked...

If deleting and restoring finger prints, rebooting, and rebooting with the key combo to wipe out the sensor cache all haven't worked for you, try this:

Try running "sudo bioutil -w -s -u 1" in terminal.

It will wipe out your existing fingerprints, and allow you to re-register, but now the "let me unlock my mac" button will stay checked.

Took me forever to find this. Hope it helps someone else.
