I’m angry that tech CEOs are fawning over Bezos. Saying how, “no ones self made” in response to the investment from his parents. Or how he’s a “brilliant communicator”.
Try to focus your attention on more productive endeavors. This is a very common phenomenon, people are attracted and in general have a positive bias towards powerful people, irrespective of how they acquired that power. That generally clouds their judgment. Think of it as a law of nature.
When you get to that level of money you end up associating with other people of the same status. They're all acquaintances or friends and share similar concerns.
