Ask HN: How do you read/manage/organize information and knowledge in your life?

This is a general question, but I didn't want to ask specific one because I'm still trying to understand the bigger picture.

Do you have apps/tools for organizing specific type of information and if so, why this particular one? Do you have ideas how to organize/manage this efficiently?

Plain text. Put one tag per line in each text file. e.g "topic:", "subject:",etc.

Use grep and awk to slice and dice as and how you want. Incredibly flexible, no lock in, no dependencies, easily replacable parts.

Check into git regularly.
