Ask HN: Need Advice, ML dev – bangalore on move to Canada

I am an applied ML engineer with 10 yoe working in bangalore (95k$ cash + 56k$ stocks TC) , i got my canadian PR around an year ago. Contemplating on moving this year to Toronto since my wife got a job transfer via her employeer with around 110k CAD.

I right now havent found something i like there, is it a good idea for me to move and then find something there ?

We have good amount of savings to not give us any issues for over a year to two.

I think it would be easier to move and then find something. Toronto has a good and growing tech scene. I think you should be able to find something interesting fairly quickly with your experience.

You shouldn’t have issues assuming you work for a big company currently

thanks for the reply, i used to be an sde2 at amazon previously, currently working at a top 50 by market size indian company.
