I've spent the past few years working at an ISP building automations and internal network reliability tools. I know impeccable JS, solid C and enough verilog to be dangerous. I'm very full stack, I will happily hack together a C backend that serves up a web GUI for tuning your galvo-control-FPGA. I am very good at dealing with problems I haven't dealt with before. I've been working on some motion control stuff in my free time in addition to designing a 3D-printable handheld spectroscope with a $30 BoM. I'm comfortable with CAD and CAM and I can safely work most of your garden variety CNC tools. On the EE/embedded side of things I don't claim to know any of the black magic but I've reverse engineered enough garbage hardware that it doesn't worry me. I can copy paste reference designs just as well as the next guy.

I'm looking for opportunities where my broad set of skill will be relevant to a small team, especially exciting would be anything involving 3D visualization and optics hardware.

P.S. I can also paint.

Hi HN, I've been working on Data Science problems exclusively for the past 5 years, and gained a lot of supporting knowledge related to ML infrastructure during this time.

I'm most proficient in GIS and financial time-series datasets, like locations of shipping vessels/flight tracking/road traffic tracking as I've spent the most time with trading houses correlating paper contract prices to the movement of these physical assets.

I've got 7 years of experience with Python in general, and I'm really proficient with PostgreSQL (for any back-end task) and establishing pipelines for Machine Learning (ML) tasks (using Prefect for the past year or so).

I also work on data science problems exclusively, without the adjoining back-end problems (e.g just give me the data set and you'll get back a model).

Over the past 3 years, I've also become quite proficient in Golang and if you have some projects in Golang, I'd like to work on them as well.

I am a mathematician currently pursuing a MSc at the University of Amsterdam in Artificial Intelligence. I am looking for an internship in SV to host my MSc thesis in AI. I was selected on an excellence program that will provide me with a Visa to work in Silicon Valley in the US, thus I don't need sponsorship.

I've worked 1.5 years as a Data Scientist and half a year as a Data Product Owner, leading a small data department. I also have first-hand knowledge of delivering a machine learning product from conception to market.

I have deep theoretical and practical foundations in machine and deep learning. My interests lie in finding practical solutions using AI in different domains such as Graph Neural Networks, tabular machine learning, and Computer Vision but I am open to any interesting AI problem. I can provide references upon request.

Tech I would love to work on but have no or little experience: #web3 #blockchain #typescript

Tech I have been working on last few years: #javascript #react #nodejs #drupal #php

During 10+ years of productive web development I became an experienced, passionate and self-driven full-stack web developer. I use technologies to work on solving a wide range of problems while spreading education about web development and helping my clients and employers to achieve their goals in most efficient ways.

I started web development in 2010 and since then there has been not even one day when I was not impressed with web technologies or didn’t learn a new thing that blew my mind. Fantastic new abilities tech gives humans and strong community of enthusiastic people gives me passion to always learn and go forward in the field. I am experienced in backend and frontend development using tech I have listed above but I have been technology agnostic(thanks to my fantastic mentor) since the first day. I am always learning new tech and enjoy solving problems with just the right tools versus smashing them with just same hammer over and over again.

Modern frontend frameworks opened unlimited new ways of leveraging Web's power and now I am looking forward to transition into a blockchain world to enhance my abilities and provide even more value.

All of these experiences combined, gave me unique problem solving skills that I use to deliver value to my employers. Here is what values I bring to you:

1. Proactive thinking and action;

2. Best communication;

3. 10+ years of expertise in the field, including not just web but general software development experience.

4. Hunger for non-stop learning and improvement.

Currently a postdoc at the U. Toronto interested in data science positions. Physics PhD from U. Chicago from 2018. I have spent the majority of my postdoc by analyzing various astrophysical datasets. To add to my well developed analytical and research skills, for the past two years I have been preparing for the transition into industry by taking Coursera courses, reading up on the various data science topics and playing around with various real world datasets.

Looking for a full time position.

I am a technical salesperson with 5 years experience looking to see what else is out there in the market. I'm comfortable working with most any software, and am a quick study when it comes to new platforms and programs. One of my biggest strengths is being able to analyze a client's existing workflow, show where our products can fit to improve, and explain it all in clear, and easy to understand, terms, with examples.

I spent several years developing a project called IVD (github.com/irischase/IVD) which is a GUI programming language and implementation. I really leveled up a ton in all aspects as an engineer from the project. But it's unfinished and in hiatus because after spending 3+ years on it I realized how much time doing anything interesting takes (especially alone) and that I need to pick my battles more wisely. I've also exhausted my ramen money if you catch my drift.

In my spare time now I'm mostly trying to develop my skills as a 3D artist, sculpting, modelling, subdivision topology, rigging and experimenting with non-photorealistic rendering (NPR).

It's hard for me to sum up what I would or would not be interested in. What sounds boring to some might sound interesting to me and vice versa. So, feel free to reach out if you feel I could be a fit for what you've got and we'll go from there!

I'm a graduating senior at Olin College of Engineering with a nearly two years of fulltime work experience under my belt. I've built major components and products for venture-funded startups, worked on particle accelerators, and deployed hardware hundreds of feet above the ground on live constructions sites in San Francisco.

My most recent project is http://github.com/dioxusLabs/dioxus - with over 3000 stars in under two months.

My area of interest is software-for-hardware and full stack development that spans the entire stack. I'm looking for a full-time role in either small or big, and I'd be able to provide value extraordinarily quickly. I'd prefer to work with Rust and embedded systems, but can be thrown at C/C++/Python projects just fine.

Hi, I'm Scott, and I am a generalist, self-taught full stack engineer who's been in Japan for 15 years and can speak, read, and write Japanese fluently. Although I have severe hearing loss, we can absolutely address that with some basic accommodations.

I'm currently the principal engineer at a small, fast-paced startup in Tokyo, where I've been leading a small team in developing a product to provide temperature measuring and alerting services to over 2,000 clients across the country in the food service, hospitality, and medical industries. I work with a Python/Django/PostgreSQL stack on ec2, but I'm also flexible and very willing to learn.

I enjoy not only the engineering side of my job, but also mentoring and growing my team members. I consider myself good at communication -- a good portion of my work involves collaborating with support, sales, and our CEO. My background also includes education, support, and sales.
