Ask HN: Is it possible to work remotely for Australian companies in Europe

I am curious to know if there are people who've successfully worked for an Australian based company and are in European timezones?

I've seen roles that are a good fit in terms of skills I have, but the afternoon in Australia seems to map to the very early morning of European time.

Conversely, are there any Australians who've hired European based contractors/employees and it was successful? If so, how did you make it work? Thanks!
