Last year, a Buell XB12R Firebolt. An exotic, American sport bike with a radical design and engineering philosophy. I knew they existed, but never paid much attention. Then a distant friend sold his bike. I took a test ride, just for the fun of it, because they are quite rare.
On the ride home I already had made the downpayment with the intent to pick up the bike the next day. One the best decisions I ever made!
I have a fairly expensive to laymen watch collection. (Enthusiasts would consider it modest since prices can get silly)
I work in tech but my education was in mechanical engineering and I appreciate the little microcosm of precision manufacturing, materials science, and craftsmanship that goes into a rube Goldberg mechanical movement.
So I don’t really own them for any specific purpose and I just buy them when I feel like it.
Oculus Quest. I haven't used it ever since one of its controllers stopped working. Last I checked(a year so ago) they are on Amazon for a ridiculous price.
