Ask HN: Are you willing to contribute to OpenAI Evals?

OpenAI announced "https://github.com/openai/evals" which is basically collecting high quality benchmarks from the community. Do you think this company deserves to get the collective effort of the community?

For a company that is on track to monopolize on AI, I am strongly against contributing any our effort OpenAI.

I plead that community will not contribute until the model is open.

No. They are not open source or a non profit. Why should I give them my money (time/knowledge) for free?

I am. They are building amazing things - I want to help them any way I can. I even subscribed to ChatGPT Plus today for $20/mo - mainly to show my support.

Why do you think they will monopolize? I sense the beginning of a massive scrum of all the major players, hard to imagine anyone can monopolize that quickly.
