I use a mixture of Cloudflare and Porkbun.

Cloudflare offers domains at cost however there are a few caveats:

- they don't support all TLDs

- they require use of their own nameservers

- in order to transfer a domain from one Cloudflare account to another, you have to transfer it to an external registrar first and then transfer back in. A bit bizarre

I still like Cloudflare though :)

I use Cloudflare, Namecheap and Iwantmyname, but will probably slowly migrate to Cloudflare Registrar. Since domain registrations aren't their primary business, I hope they will keep charging the minimum only.

I like when companies provide services which help their business indirectly, so they have an incentive to keep that service accessible and simple.

But overall annual renewal is around $60 USD.

There is another perspective to be aware of on this... I have been caught out by a service provider when it became clear the service I was using wasn't their main business - and their interest in properly maintaining and operating that service dropped - profoundly.

Thanks for this. How many domains are included in the $60?

1. https://tld-list.com/tld/com

2. Click "Renew" to sort by renewal fee.

I personally use:

- Cloudflare

- Porkbun: when I want use a custom nameserver (like Vercel)

- Sav: domain I want to sell (coolcases.com; used to be cheapest transfer/renewal?)

Cloudflare. They claim to charge cost only, which iirc is about $9. Been using them for a few years, and have migrated domaina from other registrars, with no problems.

I use namecheap.com. Just checked a couple domains and it's about $15-16 each.
