on: Post-quantum confidentiality for TLS
I could be reading this wrong but in the article it seems like SI has the advantage of key size and SL has the advantage of performance. I understand the sentiment of subtle bugs in elliptic-curve implementations and the new field of Supersingular-Isogenies, but in general algorithms are optimized and improved, but key sizes don't change too much.
If that's the case, why go with SL over SI?

on: Liquid Haskell: Haskell as a Theorem Prover [pdf]
I find this delightfully coincidental that the very moment I found this I was sitting in AI class as my professor stresses the usefulness of a good automated theorem prover.

on: Experts say Olympics must be moved or postponed because of Zika
Rio can be a bad place. When I went to Rio for the world Cup, my taxi driver from the airport told me that at night we would not stop at red lights for fear of being robbed. The ticket he would get would be less money would be less than the money he made that night.
That being said, I stayed on the boardwalk of copacabana Beach at a hotel and there was never a problem day or night. If you stay in the tourist sections, the post guards and the area is very safe

In theory a lot of things. Depending on how much hardware you could synthesize, you'd only be limited by your IO and size. You could have a module that is able to be modified by software.

If that is the case, would you, not knowing the meaning of a word, use that word in a professional environment? And also, does not understanding the meaning of the word excuse it's use?

on: Skylake's Linux power management is dreadful you shouldn't buy until it's fixed
This is weird because I was reading a thread on Ubuntu forums about 4.3 problems and I've just stayed on 4.2 with 15.10 with no power management issues. Power consumption is criminal though getting 1.8 hours average at full charge and low brightness.

While steam is a good platform to sell on, I think a lot of people here will agree that selling a DRM free version on sites like GOG.com would be awesome especially if you can support Linux.

It would be amazing if you could write a separate post with further details. I think many people here would love to know more.
