Yea, I am sure that is the goal. But in order to provide a clean, seamless experience, you need to render what is roughly 3x the amount of data compared to normal 1080p monitors. You'll also want to make sure you don't have dropped frames as that would have a huge impact in the experience. You need high framerates and responsive feeback so that motion sickness is minimized. As you can see, there are a lot of reasons why a high-end graphics card is required. So yes, that is the goal but we can't get there right now.

The game publisher, Bethesda, determined that amount. I think everyone would agree it's steep but that's what the games publisher wanted. If they rolled out these mods for different games, those publishers could choose a different percentage for splitting it.

One thing that confuses me is that series of events:
1)There was a speaker on the stage talking about women in the industry.
2)He happened to bring up an image of a girl in a tech shop.
3)Hank and his friend had several exchanges with the sexual jokes.
The timeframe doesn't seem right. For one, they were talking and giggling while someone was presenting? Is this a common thing? Another is that they were speaking louder than a whisper. Really? Making sexual jokes while someone is presenting in a louder than whisper volume? I don't know. It doesn't add up. Maybe they were really being that immature or your first quote is dramatized.

You're right but it's still vague. It wasn't made clear on how or if they went about getting new jobs. How many resumes sent out? How many interviews? We don't know what their experience level is...etc...etc. Those questions miss the point of what you are getting at (gender/minority bias) but there is still a technical angle in getting a job.

If you zoom in, it becomes a much smaller number. So, you are right that the zoom level affects the values recorded.

How many were vaccinated during for program? It's indicated later in the article that 5 out of 11,000 had an adverse reaction during trials. I wonder if a similar rate was observed during Canada's vaccination program.

Isn't the Hyperloop built with a low-pressure vacuum? Wouldn't a break in that vacuum cause the pods to slow down/stop?

Check out stuff from 'Discover 2014'. Discover is HP's tech showcase event. I linked a video below from Day 2 of this years showcase. About halfway through, Martin Fink goes into a bit on how it's supposed to work.

What happens in the rich candidate vs poorer candidate elections then? The richer one would get a lot more viewership and exposure, increasing his chances to win.
It doesn't solve the problem.

As for the armor plating question, did the plate the engine because of its size? The engines combined make up a smaller surface area than the other places but it was still shot up quite a bit. It would be less weight and not to mention it would be more 'mission critical'.

Contractors can be cheaper than employees, despite paying a higher salary. The reason is that they don't need to do so much legal work or pay their insurances and etc, etc. When a project is finished, they can just end the contract and avoid all of the legality. I've known many people that leave their job as employee and get contracted to the same company for those reasons (and more).
