That TrueNAS ARM fork is great. I've set it up in VMWare Fusion on Mac mini M4 and it runs!

With Thunderbolt 4 M.2 NVMe enclosure, you can plug in M.2 SATA adapter to connect 8 SATA III drives. Little Pico PSU to power the HDDs and it makes a really low powered NAS.

My plan is to give TrueNAS a spin with two drives and if it is stable, move everything into it.

We are using Percy [1] for this and are extremely happy with this. Almost zero effort to set up, just some time to get random data out of our tests to have stable visual output.

There are projects like the one I'm working on [3] that implement dynamic proxies using OpenResty.

Might not be for everyone, but sometimes money is not everything. Personal interaction can be strong motivator.

We are in the same building as MobileJazz and both of our offices have a big terrace and BBQ which we put to fair use!

Maybe because working remote is not for everyone. I actually really enjoy working with people in our office. They are awesome. I relocated there few years ago and we are not only colleagues but also friends. Some people don't speak Spanish at all. Everyone has to speak English. That is official language of the company.

We are on Ruby, Sinatra, Rails, Nginx, Lua & not afraid of new technologies.

Our open positions are on https://www.3scale.net/about/jobs/ We're based in Barcelona, but had remote workers in the past and still might be opened to that after some warmup time. On some hiring sites we were publically posting 50k EUR for Senior Backend Developer.

Being here for 5 years I can say there is plenty of growth space for good developers. Cheers.

A year later, there is dumb-init[1].

Released as statically linked binary, it is simple ADD + chmod +x to get running simple init without any dependencies.

Really? Why not just a notepad? It is on per user basis. So you can't even have different reply per repo. Or have some variable like user name or repo name. I mean. This really is the same as having a text file opened and copy paste something.
