Yeah that's definitely true. No one just makes CRUD apps.

Another thing though, web apps are not all interactive React now. That's falsified information. There are multiple cases where webapps aren't even backed by React.
Webapps are still being built in CRUD frameworks.

That would actually be a pretty fun project to build, AI generated CSS, HTML and MVC.
What he meant by CRUD devs was, developers whose job is just to build stuff like, a contact information page, or basically anything that does CRUD operations. He for some reason considers only `input->compute->output` as the correct paradigm which also aligns with his jalbreaking stuff and what he's doing at comma.ai now.

He's a developer who's been around for a while and has done some particularly great things so far. There has to probably be some weight in what he says.

I made my first Psychedelic trance beat just using Logic Pro, that's it. No external devices used.

And how would you come to that conclusion?
By your logic, no place has an understanding of life.

You make an interesting point. However, India and Nigeria are starkly different, just food for thought. It's almost like comparing U.S with South Africa.

The submission is in fact a duplicate, check the source I added. You could just acknowledge it at the very least or ignore it but downvoting for no apparent reason isn't the best way.

True but not sure if you considered Power Purchasing Parity of Indians. India is able to manufacture most of the stuff for itself at the moment and hence everything is cheap in India. From basic things like soda cans that cost 10x less in India than the US to the same online services that also cost 10x less.
The GDP per capita might be less in terms of the US standards but the Power Purchasing Parity makes up for it plus we can't forget that the nominal GDP is still in Top 3/Top 5 in the world ( depends on what source you look at ).

I'd have to disagree. Only partly though. You mentioned a well established phenomenon, brain drain and it's true that the Indian talent gravitates towards the Silicon Valley or for the most part at least tries to but this is the point of the article as well, this phenomenon is slowing down a bit, not as much Indians gravitate with their startups to the US as they did say, a decade ago.
This shows progress and this is what the whole point is, progress.
With the extreme H1B conditions at the moment, it's unlikely people will take extra steps to just get to the US when they can try setting it up in India.

Might be a bit true but China still gets a lot of coverage. Imo, anything that's on the Indian, Chinese, American or EU startup scene gets a lot of coverage these days.

It seems so. India didn't get quite as much coverage as it is getting now for some reason. And strangely enough, India is being mentioned in the news more often than before for the same things it had been doing before ( on a greater extent now though but the nature of those activities is pretty much the same ).

on: Ask HN: How does Hacker News work?
Yeah so basically :
- ASK HN : To Ask HN something. Make sure it's a legitimate question and re-read it to yourself to make sure it makes sense. It's not for asking questions like "How to do a binary search?", that belongs elsewhere.
- SHOW HN : To show HN something that you built ( or someone else did ) and receive feedback on it. Don't spam the same thing over and over, your account might get marked as spam, I learnt it the hard way.
- LAUNCH HN : It's for YC startups when they launch.
Apart from this, you should feel free to post anything new and interesting that you find on the internet. Primarily tech-related but not necessarily. Anything that helps quench curiosity and isn't spammy works.

Somewhat related but not exactly related to Low-Level Academy, you might be interested in "Nand2Tetris" if you're interested in studying low level concepts for education purposes.

on: Show HN: I built a gamified forum to help hackers fund each other
It seems so. Think about Theranos, would've been a breeding ground for that imo. There are many other startups who can leverage this and basically defeat the purpose of this idea. The idea is good actually though if you use it the right way but then again that stands true for most ideas that became bad, Chatroulette for example.
