As I remember, it not that the particles physically spin (at least no one has experimentally observed them spinning, the particles are too small to see) but that they can carry angular momentum. Large objects that we are familiar with that carry angular momentum are spinning, so 'spin' was used as an term, but I've heard people say to think this way is misleading.

Almost everyone's first question in a Quantum Mechanics class is 'why do things behave this way?' As far as I have heard, no one (even those that developed the equations) has anything better than 'these equations produce results consistent with experiment'.

Its not just a prep issue (and yes, there are only a handful of CS Education programs in the US) but a state certification and curriculum issue. Education in the US is a State/local funded and regulated (only like 10% of public school funding is from the Federal Government). Teaching requirements for CS vary wildly from state to state, but in most places CS courses actually fall in the Business dept.

The course most likely used VB because that is what the district mandated.

My only experience is in the US, you didn't mention a country.

Check with your health insurance to see if they cover short term rehab. If they do (my insurance when I was a grad student did, but it varies by state) they will cover some months of speach and/or occupational therapy (OT always sounds weird to me dealing with kids, but it deals with a bunch of sensory and processing issues).

Anyone with speech issues I would recommend a good hearing test (from an audiologist, not the doctors office). This is how we found my daughter is hearing impaired.

In the US, children with delays are eligible for some services from the public school system. Depending on the district, this will likely be a long wait with some screenings and paperwork, but we got several years of speech and language therapy from very qualified people.

Finally, don't forget a pediatrician. They will be able to give you recommendations of local contacts that can help.

This is not something to be a hero and go it alone, get help.
