I'd say the masterpiece of the Wolfowitz doctrine was Ukraine. The best mental picture I can paint is seeing the longing, looking-for-acceptance look on the face of the little old hippie lady that sold me my Patagonia marching in a pro-Ukraine rally. Watching the Democrats and liberal media press themselves into mobilization for Neocon theory was truly like appreciating a work of art. Big, bad, scary Russia. Nuland and her husband, right there, the high court of Neoconservatism!

If you want to take issue with Technocracy, fine. Call out the entire liberal order and Karp's marxism in the same breath. Pretending it is just Thiel is so willfully ignorant. It is so nauseating how much people need to project and play favorites as if Thiel isn't chatting right now with people you adore as your champions. I'm not saying this in appreciation of Peter (as we call him in my circle of people you love) only to call out the pointless and meaningless divisiveness of this line of thinking. We can't both have nearly unlimited knowledge working tools and this kind of nonsense favoritism and boogeymen unless you actively choose to be ignorant. Be the change you want to see.

Why is it so difficult to be transparent? The cure works, 90% of the time. 10% of the time it causes polio. It's also the source of new polio. I get it. I'm sure you're ready to acknowledge the quandary after 60 years? Surely this is no place for well-rounded, polite and thoughtful conversation...? "14 June 2023 Vaccine-derived polio is undermining the fight to eradicate the virus Wild polio has almost been eradicated, but vaccine-derived strains retain the potential to paralyse. Better vaccines have arrived — but they are only part of the answer."

If this were social media I would just screenshot it for you. There are also people posting more I guess, substantial criticisms of Project 2025, for example. I'm not sure what you're after, but my point is merely to relay the rhetoric. I'm only trying to reflect the climate, which should be easy enough to infer. Another thing I would cross reference this article and the zeitgeist with would be the Kinsey Report. Sex maniacs everywhere! This is just how humans are! Well, yeah, with that sample set. I'll stop short of any potential implications of Kinsey, et al, or asking 'why is so much of it free?' which might introduce analogies to vice or drug pushing, etc, and therefore intentional subversion. Whatever consenting adults want to do with themselves or each other is up to them, IMHO. However I think it's silly to talk past people with traditional values. I sincerely hope it isn't 'a tell' to call them fascists for simply not wanting their kids exposed to hypersexuality, etc. We had that happen once in society already and it didn't end well for my people.

It's interesting. In the days since the election my Threads feed has been dominated by posts claiming that your experience means you wrote Project 2025, you are a misogynist, Nazi, etc. You aren't following the Science. 9 out of 10 neuroscientists agree, the smooth flavor of OF isn't just tasty, it's better for you! It's just your hate that makes you see these negative consequences.

In 2009, Rwanda, formerly under Belgian and German rule, joined.[52] Consideration for Rwanda's admission was considered an "exceptional circumstance" by the Commonwealth Secretariat.[92] Rwanda was permitted to join despite the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) finding that "the state of governance and human rights in Rwanda does not satisfy Commonwealth standards", and that it "does not therefore qualify for admission".[93] CHRI commented that: "It does not make sense to admit a state that already does not satisfy Commonwealth standards. This would tarnish the reputation of the Commonwealth and confirm the opinion of many people and civic organisations that the leaders of its governments do not really care for democracy and human rights, and that its periodic, solemn declarations are merely hot air."[93]

In 2022, the former French territories of Togo and Gabon joined the Commonwealth.[53] ...seems like as or more of a successful model regardless!

Um... I don't know why I am this way but I have uh... talent in both of these areas and I certainly did seek out training but... this reads to me like someone who could enjoy being an amateur. If we are talking about "skill" I would stay away from the music industry and getting into any fights. Martial arts can be a wonderful activity regardless of their actual impact on self-defense (and drilling combatives certainly can help). Likewise, music can be enjoyed by someone or even an audience regardless of skill level. But again, if we are talking about skill... I'm talking about kicking a* and getting paid and I figured out a lot of that from random unguided exploration. Whether in jazz or combat, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face. Learn the few rules and break them. Your opponent will.

Depending one what one means by "usage" I have connected iCloud and Obsidian to 10+ year old Macs. Sure, I can't air drop, screen support, etc. All of those features and updates you generally want on your 'new' system. But as far as booting and running a lot of compatible legacy software, browsing, email... what most people use a computer for... you could pick up any fair condition Mac from the last 10 years and chances are it will work for most things (without Linux).

Much of what I've cited (would you like links?) could be a maximalist position. Oct 7th was fishy, this is reported in Israeli media as well. The point is annexation. It would be built atop the blood of children and some will celebrate this.

bluenomatterwho | 1 year ago | on: Google CEO: Building for our AI future

Hamas was propped up by the Likud government in order to delegitimize the PLO. All of the fishy events of Oct 7th aside, the point is the annexation of Gaza. At this point the people under apartheid have little recourse. All the better for Likud that Likud has funded them. Children did not take hostages. The world is aware of the dehumanization of Palestinian kids by the IDF, etc. Just say you support killing kids in order to annex and settle Gaza.

I'm independent so that isn't a problem for me. My response was to this mention of the 'credibility' of experts regarding one hospital. Gaza is obliterated. The repeated and deliberate targeting of World Central Kitchen aid workers may have arisen from very difficult conditions and circumstances indeed. Something tells me you're ready to settle atop that bloody soil. 'Educate yourself about the world' gave me a chuckle. Accept that there is right and wrong.

bluenomatterwho | 1 year ago | on: Google CEO: Building for our AI future

Right? What are people on about?? There are a few buildings still standing. Some kids are still starving, it's not like they were all killed by bombs. Hopefully the final invasion will be successful and resettlement can begin, right? It's important we take the long view and not get bogged down by one hospital or another.

You've never heard of BLM or Antifa or 'mostly peaceful but fiery' arsons I take it. I'm not surprised if there was some outlier activity (again, instigation of the that was largely the point). But I watched it live, and there is plenty of footage still being released (why hide it?). Officers were indeed taking pictures, etc. All I'm asking for is sanity, but clearly partisanship is more important. Sad day.
