Not on an unlocked phone, anyway. You can still sell apps for unlocked phones, not sure what the returns are.
Apple only gives you access to the address book, very annoying.
Would love to get more access, to calendar, calls data etc...

Looking at one example, the one that favors your opinion is useless. Yes, sometime this works, sometimes it doesn't.

They wanted to get on that list, because getting on that list means increased sales.
Now to get more sales, they have to release more apps. I guess this is good for apple, but more releases generally means lots more crap.

And, they can very easily show it to there friends, if it is in javascript. My niece loves designing webpages that she shares with her mates. Of course, getting her to program rather than put up pictures of twilight is another issue.

Myspace has been losing share, while facebook has been gaining a lot. If you look at it that way, mySpace is losing. I am not sure how well it is performing for Murdoch.
You have to give kudos for him trying to get into a new market.
As for how he will lose if he removes his sites from google, time will tell. I assume he has done a lot of work looking at the area.

Thank god we have another sound board, I am so happy that you got this amazing app through. Maybe the app reviewers were giving you a hint, like do we really need another sound board. Surely >1000 is enough?

There is no reason all phones would have the same time. I know some US phones sync the time with the carrier, which is a great function but not seen in the rest of the world.
You could use bluetooth, but then you have to switch it on.
You could use the camera to pick up the phones behind you somehow, but that would not always work.

These things don't magically happen, and they take time. Time you could spend on adding features, or in including more browser options for users.
I am not sure why I feel the need to explain this, and not on this website.

Sure, why would they ever want extra hits from search engines (not just google remember, no other search engine can see this properly either). Why would they want extra traffic, surely they want to keep this a big a secret as possible??
The fact is that the people who did this have no idea, sure they can create fancy flash, but they are ignorant of almost everything else about the web.
