on: Facebook reveals Russian troll content, shuts down 135 IRA accounts
I'm american and remember some high profile movies that featured them. Then again, I'm almost 30. I thought it was common knowledge among many who the IRA were, even among americans.

Yeah, I always thought IRA was the main acronym for the "Irish Republican Army". Weird that they used IRA in this article to mean something else. Has the main association changed?

on: Quit Social Media, Your Career May Depend on It (2016)
I've never seen stuff like that, but then again I heavily control my fb feed by only following "close" friends and select family members. I don't follow any news sites, and pretty much only follow art pages/ and a few programmers that have public profiles. This has more to do with people who have family/friends who enjoy stuff like that, but it's easily possible to never run across articles like that on fb. I sure haven't.

on: Economic Inequality Is Worse Than We Think (2015)
I don't understand your point. Many people find joy in raising children, it fulfills a purpose in their life. Not everyone does, but many do. There is a biological desire to procreate and continue the species.

So only rich people deserve to have a family? Only the rich deserve to find joy in nurturing and raising others? A lot of people, even though they don't have much, they find fulfillment in their family. If you think they shouldn't have children, that means taking away the only joy in some people's lives. Weird sentiment you have there.

on: An Accident No One Talked About
I'm the same way. I recently opened up to a friend of mine about a traumatic experience. They wondered why I seem so calm all the time, I'm the calmest person they know. It helped me alot just to talk to them about it, even though the situation was long gone, it haunted me for years. Yet I never showed any emotion over it on the outside, even though on the inside I was not right.

on: As obesity keeps rising, more Americans are just giving up
It honestly is pretty simple, self-control and discipline. I lost 75lbs over the last year. I was at my high weight (250) for over 8 years. I finally just gave up almost all "sugary" things, which was the most difficult part, I didn't realize I was so addicted. I ate much less calories than I used to. I started exercising regularly, not too much at first, but eased myself into it. After 4 months, and a significant weight loss, I stepped up my calorie intake a bit and then started exercising more vigorously. Currently I go through periods of eating a lot, and then eating very little. My weight continues to go down. It really is simple, if you can get over the feelings of "severe hunger" for the first few months you can shrink your stomach. I hardly get hungry anymore, and have been trying to eat more recently to get my stomach a bit bigger so I don't lose too much. It's just willpower and dedication. Companies are to blame for making it easy to eat unhealthy, but I feel healthier than I ever did just by cooking my own meals and eating a reasonable amount.

on: ReactOS 0.4.4 Released
I feel sad that someone would think this. I don't blame you for writing it, many people are ignorant of not too distant software, but still bothers me somehow.
