At the risk of just mouthing off my favorites, there are a lot of genres today are the best they've ever been. The post-punk revival out of the UK is great. The "chambery" Black Country, New Road and the "mathy" Black Midi are some of the best we've seen and there are other exceptional talents in that scene. Noisy-shoegazy-indie rock is also a great scene right now with artists like Jane Remover and Mitski releasing what will be important albums for ages to come.

Note, Mitski debuted in 2013 but most of the strongest records over the past few years, from hip-hop, pop to experimental rock to metal, seems to be by artists or individual who've been making music for around a decade-ish roughly. Maybe this disqualifies the whole lot and you're trying to highlight some weakness in the debuts of the past few years. If so, maybe you should wait a decade? If not, I can assert that some of the most talented artists of history are making music today. By any metric.

Coffee fails the test in my locale which is interestingly the supposed origin[0] of the drink/plant. We call it Buna in Ethiopia and it's a big symbol/part of the national identity not to mention the most important export commodity.

Recent graduate but have some experience, I specialize in backend roles but I've worked on a bunch of mobile apps as well.

Intoxicating indeed. I'm partly hoping that the efforts of WASM/WASI will weaken the stiffing grip Android and iOS have had on the experience most people have with their personal computers. The fruits of UX designers at Apple and Google are phenomenal, don't get me wrong, but I'm convinced the App Store business model has led them to stifle any kind of innovation that doesn't originate from within their house.

I'm thinking, a mobile first, cross platform desktop environment that's built to run apps built upon the WASM component model. Just a runtime even. I guess it'll be replacing a big part of the OS's job but on the other hand, it'll have first class support for web/instant apps. Yes, email me if you're working on anything like this.

The examples showcased by Axum and co. are the "ergonomic simple cases" and it's easy to morph what's provided into any flavor you personally prefer with as many `impl`s and types. Here's[0] my jam rn.

I'm curious, have you attempted and found difficulties writing an extractor similar to the decoder you describe?
