Hi everyone, I'm the developer behind GasbyAI.

Initially, GasbyAI is a ChatGPT alternative that wrap around OpenAI API. I've been working adding more apps that leverage the power of GPT and APIs provided by OpenAI.

Recently, I published Gasby Talk, an app that is similar to Apple's Siri. It requires an OpenAI API Key to use for free, or you can subscribe to a Gasby's plan. To start using it, just press the mic button, and ask questions. When you pause for at least 3 seconds, it'll start process and response/talk to you.

At the moment, the app use browser's API to listen to your talk (speech to text), and response to you (text to speech). These APIs are only limited to Chrome (not other Chromium-based browser), and Safari.

I'll be adding more features from Gasby Chat, ie get latest info from search, plugins etc.

If you have any feedback, please let me know

Just another ChatGPT on top of OpenAI.

Though I built it because I love the macOS frosted style, with a bunch of AI characters to try out.

Hope you like it

Recommend by Google Lighthouse for lazy load content.

I guess you have problem with loading the content. Maybe a straight answer would help because I don’t have that problem

Which ad blocker are you using?

Can you explain “eight thirteen character columns next to each other”? I don’t get the reference

That’s what I concern too, whether they talked for themselves or making conversation.

Though I’m not looking for an idea to work on. Just curious and want to see something unusual

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

hieunc229 | 5 years ago | on: Ask HN: Where to Find Interesting Problems?

Ah. I can see HN is a good place to learn problems.

i.e when someone posted a new or exisiting product, sometimes people will use them for comparison, or talking about missing features

As you said, there can be false expertise discussion too.

Thanks for the idea

Hey guys, this post is a review of Google Sheets (GS) as a Database Service, more focus on its disadvantages.

In summary, GS has a limit of 5M cells, APIs doesn't provides convenient way to search, no schema restriction. But it has an acceptable performance

Feedbacks are welcome!

In my case, the business guy stubborn and think he know best, many times.

Every times, I told him it wasn’t what he think. For a few times, I let it go, part to let he learn about the reality. I thought he would change the evaluation process. But no, he still stubborn.

I remember at Microsoft, people would need to win an argument with Bill Gate to get their idea approved. Sometimes, it was a really hear arguments. Maybe some people get inspired by this story too much.

Business guys usually comes together and brag about their works. Quite often, they start to talk about things they heard but don’t understand much.

And the other one hear about it, get excited, but also don’t understand much. Then on the meeting, he brought the idea up and convince everyone to do it.

The next you know, you’re pulling your hair out trying to understand what is going on
