Okay. Now I feel old. I ran some hosting using these and the raq3’s over here in Ireland. Such a bang for your buck. Comparable gear from compaq with the right kind of management tools to do the same hosting ran in six figures. And the raq rolled over them for feature sets and stability and most especially security. Loved those 1u’s. They were awesome. Even ran a radio station’s streaming via Real that was installed on one of them. Cobalt able to compile their own RPMs for the win.

That’s totally an aircraft banked towards the camera. Turn the image 90deg and it looks like a testbed a/c that Boeing had that looked like something out of Batman. Brown from above makes sense as it would help to hide it from foreign satellites.

But how do you find new songs for you to put on your playlists?

That’s why SomaFM and online stations like KCRW are so valuable. They’re ways to introduce new music and even new styles of music to the listeners.

From a purely web browsing experience the first iPad 'should be' powerful enough to browse ANYTHING out there these days. But it can't. The last few models will increasingly have the same issues as the sheer volume of muck and cruft that's included with the advertising gack just continues to explode.

I'm definitely of the opinion that our web browsing devices are marketing tools that we are allowed to use for media consumption.

This is the same principle as DEX. Just with a speaker / mic setup instead of some sort of rs232 cable with 1/4" jack. What would be interesting is if you could use a sonic range below what humans can hear and still be effective with an open speaker / mic setup? Lights, hvac type controls would be very doable.
