on: Google Takes on Uber with New Ride-Share Service
This is a hitchhiking service, not a "I want to get from my hotel to the airport" service. What are the chances that someome happens to be passing by my hotel on their way to the airport and happens to have room for an extra passenger. LOL. Retarded (to view it as competing with Uber/Lyft) Just part of the media that is itching to start a new drama.

that is just the story. In reality powerful actors can tip the balancein their favor and even revoke and tamper with old transactions

The patterns that Undebt removes could be non-existent in the code base, but the conceptual, algorithmic design decisions and architecture could be all bad and that is what the actual technical debt is. Bad code patterns are just a tiny slice of the problem in most cases.

Basis elevated my blood sugar quite dramatically. Beware, and check your blood sugar when you're on it (against your normal baseline) It did that on day one and day two so I quit taking it and now back to normal levels for blood sugar.

$100M for a seed fund, right? Can't imagine $100M being a serious play for anything other than a seed fund. I think he'd make a good board member, not so much as an early stage investor.

on: Massachusetts to tax ride-hailing apps, give the money to taxis
When Uber switches to a fleet of self-driving cars (with lower paid drivers, since they'll just sit and watch 98% of the time), this tax would be absolutely nothing short of taxing innovation to save an inefficient business model. Wow. I thought Capitalism was evil. Now I don't know what to think.

Grow up. Get a life. A job is like a shoe. If it falls apart or gets worn out... well, get another, and move on (or "run", if it's a new pair of sneakers)

on: Debt. Terror. Politics. To Seattle Millennials, the Future Looks Scary
Dude, that is an idiotic comparison. The world's richest nation conspires with Saudis and others in the region to change regime in Syria and in the process inadvertently (or covertly in the most twisted minds) fund ISIS, creating chaos in the Arab world, which the US, Britain, France (the colonial powers plus the new world superpower) have been doing for ages. You sound extremely arrogant if not ignorant.

For as long as we have money (or crypto currencies or whatever the Spice may be) the world will always drive toward domination of those with money over those without. Governments can no longer protect the average person from being dominated by corporations and their interests.

Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and is derived from how we feel about something, not from some objective criteria. It's disturbing to the average person, if not truly mentally ill, to feel that war is beautiful. Do you feel war is beautiful? If not, how can you say that it's beautiful? based on what? There is no objective criteria for beauty. It is a feeling. Remember that.

I am no security eggspert but I think if you encrypt them while they are waiting on disk to be processed then decrypt them in memory only to process them anD then delete from memory and delete from disk, you will have a better claim to privacy. Also, must transport over SSL.
