In the Digg days I was approached by some guys in Eastern Europe who offered to get me diggs for $$. I declined. I was hoping HN is harder to game, but I don't see any evidence that support that.

Obama and Hillary made a huge error in judgment by siding with a fascist. It's amazing how we haven't gotten ourselves in deep sh!t already given how badly our leaders judge situations. But maybe we have, and we just don't know it yet.

The very idea of trying to control quality of anything complex (work, life, relationships, economy, etc) via some extremely shallow and arbitrary test is the most idiotic idea ever yet it is practiced on such a wide scale. The world is run by idiots.

All Dustin had to say to make the "impossible" argument real is to add the qualifier "practically", so while it is possible to build a highly dynamic, enterprise application entirely out of HTML/CSS (recall CSS3 is turning complete) [1] it is "practically impossible" to do so.
