Listen more than you speak.
Replicate more than you innovate.
And write it all down as you go.
If your team is half decent, they already know where your skills truly are, and they're comfortable with it. And before you know it, you'll be the senior engineer.

This is a bad title to an other unsurprising article.
Managers don't fear they will become irrelevant. It's bad managers who are having trouble figuring out how to manage without seeing people at their desk.
What's mind blowing to me is that despite two years of being forced to evaluate people by their impact rather than by their physical presence, so many managers still don't have a clue how to do this right.
Meanwhile, healthy remote teams are thriving, and competent middle managers there provide incredible value, from managing execution to keeping the social tissue of their teams together.

Flip dns back, keep the old stack around for a few days.
The only case that doesn't just work is with db schema updates that no longer work with the previous version of prod, but this is true for any rollback.

Partly yes. They certainly have a professional responsibility to write applications that resist well known attacks, such as directory traversal, xss, sqli, etc.
This isn't new, and not knowing how to deal with it is like a builder not knowing how to safely stand up a wall.

Maybe security people are getting tired of inconsiderate developers that keep shipping bazillions of insecure packages all over mission critical applications.
Devs need to change their culture. This behavior is actively harming end-users through repeated data breaches.
