on: How work kills us
Point of government is not to give but, you know, to govern.
In communist countries millions of people were killed, so you probably should pick better examples.

Depends on case, for me NFS performance (MacOS as host, Linux as guest) is a major PITA and source of instability in vagrant dev setup.

on: DuckDuckGo vs Google
Well, for such use cases Google is a better tool indeed. I personally know my neighborhood and never google what is down the street. And if I need dealership I will try to find it on car maker website which is easy to look up even using search engines from 2001.

Not directly related as Unit seems to be advertised as app server primarily, but you can see quoted text on main page.

I am surprised noone mentioned Kong [1] yet. It seems to implement most of stuff promised by Unit and it was around for a few years.

Make sure you use proper [1] CoC next time you start new project. Proper as in not easy to abuse for political reason or just because some SJW decided you are wrong.

on: Typing with pleasure, and low latency
>Regardless of keyboard type, key switches are mechanically imperfect and are subject to contact bounce — instead of a clean transition, the switch rapidly bounces between on and off states several times before settling. Bounce time depends on switch technology, for example, for Cherry MX switches bounce time is claimed to be less that 5 ms. Though exact probability distribution is unknown, basing on related empirical data, we can assume that average bounce time is about 1.5 ms.
This is amazing. I thought I knew everything about mech keyboards, but this opens new perspective.
