neusleep | embedded systems engineer + electrical engineer | part/full time | $4-6k/month

neusleep is an early-stage transhumanism startup currently building a sleeping mask that induces and improves sleep through personalized nerve stimulation. we've raised $250k to date from cool people like ben pasternak, cory levy, etc.

we're looking for an enlightened developer passionate about the potential of human amplification beyond sleep (sleep is go to market for us). at neusleep, the future isn't about supplementation or cybernetics, it's about the amplification of our pre-existing biological inefficiencies and limits.

jakeadler | 5 years ago | on: Show HN: Ordy – AI Personalized Crypto Assistant

Hey Everyone! I'm the founder of Ordy (details below).

When I started trading crypto 2 years ago, and even to this day, it's very difficult for me to know whether I'm making a smart investment. I've tried bots and they suck, and I've also tried learning about it more, but I get more confused. So I built Ordy. Ordy is a millennial-inspired smart assistant that helps you trade smarter. Ordy analyzes your investing habits and provides personalized support and insights into risk, strategy, and crypto-related questions. Investors can ask Ordy anything crypto-related and receive credible, unbiased, and personalized advice.

Unlike a trading bot, Ordy uses three different AI models to provide insights to our investors. 1. RNN (recurrent neural network) to track market demand for buying and selling 2. ML classification/scrapping to analyze an investors trading history and classify them into one of our thousands of investor profiles 3.NLP/Sentiment Analysis to track 55,000 sites and determine the public opinion of individual coins.

With models focusing on social perspective and trading demand, Ordy offers a more comprehensive insights into whether a specific coin is a smart investment.

I built this out of my own need, but was told to make a website and see demand. If you like it, sign up for our waitlist and I will try to move you up.

We are launching on every major messaging platform by March 2021!

This was really awesome! I think that many people are so focused on success we don't take the time to enjoy our garden! The best part of building is the being so hands on, especially when it comes to talking with consumers and hearing about problems, or even building out the product and putting your special touch on it. I will make sure to enjoy my garden this week, and observe how I help it grow to ensure what I'm doing is truly sustainable!

jakeadler | 5 years ago | on: Show HN: YTT Tech – My curated database of instructional YouTube Videos

I love this idea. I agree, there are platforms like SkillShare but none really curate YT videos that are actually good. If possible try to include captions bc many people use them on yt and will be a small feature people expect. I would try to build up a group of people who are avid YT viewers to help you find videos for all categories. Also including a section for beginner, intermediate, and advanced would be awesome - bc learning python from the start isn't optimal for an advanced programmer.

jakeadler | 5 years ago | on: Show HN: Haven – Run a private website to share with only the people you choose

This is a really cool idea! I would be interested to see how blockchain plays into this mix, especially as some platforms offer completely decentralized websites. If you are looking to build a Facebook, be careful as many decentralized platforms have tried but failed due to the lack of content moderation. I do think that if you marketed the absolute f*ck out of this, and show why FB sucks and why this is better, then you could def get lots of users. If your looking to grow you need to focus on building a community (allow people to interact and make it super easy), and from there, you should see something like FB emerge.
