on: Udacity aims to teach 160,000 students statistics
Has anyone done codecademy before or any other free online programming course and how does this Udactiy compares to those? What would you suggest for a total beginner, start off with Udacity? Or together with other courses to replace each other's weaknesses?
Is Udacity specialize for teaching programming? Or like MitX where they are just free online education providers?

on: Learn coding by doing? Make some stuff - Mozilla Webmaker
Just found that out though a tweet from Codecademy, I think this is again another very interesting platform for people who are interested in coding, like me. I think I am so lucky to have start learning to code at this period, people make learning how to code more practical and let us see the power as well. Awesome

This is really awesome and I finish the whole article. I am 21 now, having almost graduating from a finance degree now and I started to learn coding, there are just way too many things in my head that I want to build. I keep a journal for all my ideas and hopefully one day I build all of them. The excitement is just awesome! I have done some investing and trading and I thought it was my favourite to do but then no...I am like new born now!

That's a very good argument, I will accept this :) hopefully, at the end, there is a language that is easy to understand at first and therefore people could easily pick it up, like English?

Thanks. Currently, in your opinion, what kind of programmers are high in demand and what skill set does it require?

Wow, that is very good. I am total beginner in coding so there is nothing much I could say but I am just saying from a total beginners perspective. What would be your suggestion for me if I am planning to build some social application? Learn C first to gain some fundamental knowledge? And because it is still the most widely used language, if I don't know it I wouldn't be able to find a work in the future?

Yeah, currently I am still learning to code, but I have lots of ideas that I want to turn it into reality. Its interesting..how I am graduating soon in UNSW of bachelor of commerce, done some investing and trading, and find out coding is really what turns me on. Add my email and twitter as well, I am sure there is lots of things we could talk about.

Yes I agree that new language should be developed because of the ever rapidly changing digital world to enhance everyones experience in digital products. I am sure it is going to get more complicated, however, being a beginner friendly language should still be taken into account. In fact, only the one who is more beginner friendly will survive in the long run because in the future there might be a mismatch of demand and supply of coders. Living in this moment of our planet is exciting because of the experience we have having digital products around us everyday, and there are/will be lots of teenagers who wants to get involve as well. In my opinion, coders are like "workers" in manufacturing companies in the future.

In my opinion, any new language today should be all beginner friendly, there are large pool of people who are interested and it means a great future of our world.

I would say don't join because you feel like you need to join to gain some startup. Startups are everywhere these days, prepare yourself :)

Great one! Just wanna say though there might be lots of online shopping sites already, girls like shopping right?, and online shopping is still a huge market because there are still many more who don't know online shopping yet (lol, really? Yes), so it's great that you come up a model like this which girls would like I think. May I ask you what is your revenue model going to be?

Can you imagine what would all these look like in 5 years (even 2 maybe)? It is going to look messy! I mean I like the idea of it and surely it would looks elegant if it weren't abuse...but I think this is not happening..
People are pouring money into these TLD as well...
Sad to say, but I see a totally different future, these are totally different to real estate, this is a digital world, maybe these .com, .app thing won't even needed, no address at all in the future, replace by something else, like on Facebook where you type say Dropbox, then suggested site just come out
