WE have written lot of code in Play 1.2.X all of a sudden they migrated to Play2.0 without any backward compatibility.This is sad.

WIth Play2.0 they introduced Scala Many folks has the opinion that Scala is complex, and i also lost trust in play because of no backward compatibility and i stuck up with huge code base which is not backward compatible

now iam looking build my other new applications on frameworks like Ruby on Rails , django leaving play.

I too have wrist pain some time back.

To my understanding this kind of pain will come due to stiffness in the muscles in hands,shoulders,neck.This stiffness radiates the pain to wrist.After some months of pain i visited a famous doctor (http://www.deepaksharan.com/ (india)) he asked to take 6-7 session of Myotherapy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myotherapy) and also suggested few exercises , good posture which has removed the pain from my wrist and hands.

I feel you should also consult a professional and get rid of that pain by myotherapy ,regular exercises and good posture.

1.Make your product viral.[Focus more on creating a component which helps the user to refer this product to their friends at some benefit etc..] Dropbox is a great example free 250 MB storage if you refer a friend.

And if you are building some software try to partner with another guy whose has similar interests as that of you.

yeah exactly iam bit worried as i am relying on friendfeed platform .As they are acquired by Facebook i donot for how much time will they support their API.

For scoring/shares i used the following simple algorithm like

1)Number of people shared this link

2)Blog popularity (i.e) If the blog is popular more shares has to happen for it to appear on appropriate topic popular page.

Any other ideas on improving the algorithm?

1.Don't go alone atleast partner with one or two similar minded person .

2.Keep run way for atleast 1 to 1/1/2 Year.(nothing auto magically happens)

3.More features will not make your product popular. Implement few set of features which uniquely showcases the core idea.These features has to be done very very very well (remarkable).

4.Atleast one mentors in same area.
