Here's a good one from FamilyLeaf's YC app: "We used a comedy twitter account to get meetings with tech superstars who wouldn't have returned our emails. In the week before our YC interview, we started @YC_Y_U_NO as a joke with the tech communityand ended up featured on TechCrunch -- and more importantly (coupled with serendipitously meeting FredWilson at the airport, who tweeted out Readstream) used cold DM's to build relationships with brilliant startuppeople, angel investors, and VCs (along with more than a few YC alums/Garry and Harj)."

My next article will be on current state of un-acquired email startups. I'll cover funding information, employee count, year founded. The funding information alone would be quite useful.

As a side note: I predict that we'll see a significant increase in email startups in the next 2 years.

Give Planleaf a shot for (7). I use it to track everything. Just send an email to [email protected] with a blank subject line and enter your tasks starting with a dash in the body. It will append to a personal todo list. Rinse and repeat. It sends awesome daily digests on all my tasks :)

For someone who runs into this issue quite often; this is a great add-on. You'd be surprised how many issues and embarrassing emails have arisen due to Gmail incorrectly threading emails. Great job Streak :)

p.s. Is it just me, but I can't fathom why the Gmail team doesn't scoop these guys up ASAP :)

Firstly, Great job on launching! Secondly, get ready for the most difficult, sloth-slow, gut wrenching sales cycles of your life. Any serious ($$) players looking for software like this take absolutely forever to make decisions on this. And, if you're workflow-process is even slower by a few seconds compared to what rad's are currently using, they will shut you down. So please please, make sure you are absolutely faster, smoother and better then _anything_ else on the market.

Disclosure: I've worked with some serious venture backed (50MM+) companies doing almost exactly this. I would love to give you a full heads up on what to expect. But making excellent scheduling alone is an incredibly difficult feat. Our team spent considerable time working with the absolutely top imaging facilities in the US just to get scheduling down to a science.

Go destroy those big guys! (AGFA/Fuji/GE etc)
