I've opted out a few times. My experience has been pretty much like jchrisa. Just tell them that you are opting out when it's your turn.

They would find someone to pat you down along with another officer to watch the process. Pat down takes less than a minute but wait time for officers to become available can be up to 5-10 minutes.

You are getting it in the reverse order. People who make it to IITs are driven; they do well in every field not just IT. Most Indian coders are in it just for the money, they hardly have concept of basic business or functional concept to do better and the sad part is they don't want to learn. You need to love what you do excel.

>>Another possible problem is that your spouse can get a visa but cannot work (until you both get a green card, which might take a long time).<<

Your spouse qualifies for H4, a dependent visa, based on your H1 visa. However, they can find sponsors for their own H1.

I'm not sure that's right. Even if Kindle App has no purchasing option but accesses content bought on Amazon.com, it should still allow Apple's in-app purchase. Which essentially means, Kindle app is useless. See the excerpt below.

>> If an app lets users access content that they purchased via Amazon's website, for example, then that same app must also let users buy the same book via Apple's own in-app purchase system. If the app developer doesn't want to use Apple's in-app purchases to sell content, then the app can't access content purchased elsewhere either.
