that low-ish revenue you report is also there in the iphone platform as the overall aggregate iphone app sales masks that data point.

Now can we have a honest conversation instead of using the non-meaningful fragmentation word designed to start a non-conversation..

Its the same problem with code quality..code quality dramatically impacts sellability on both platforms..however we have a diss-connect as on android people want to blame Google Play market rather than the problem and on iphone peopel want to claim its something else because Apple never gets anything wrong..

ITS THE SAME EFFING problem FOLKS ON Both platforms!

Can we please remove our heads from our asses!?

they already have a mobile SIM card that acts as a credit card..this is why Smartphones will take longer to uptake there due to the different SIM card not necessarily the phone device price.

What is sad is that US citizens do not understand that this un-civil war has been going on for the past 30 years and we as US citizens have done nothing that has a statistical impact of reversing the damage.

Instead we invade Iraq and Afghanistan based on the political connections of a former Haliburton employee and stockholder.

And if we do not wake up soon.. WWII will be on our doorstep.

shareme | 14 years ago | on: Ask HN: do founders get a salary after raising angel round?

its a little more complicated than that..

in the USA if you do not pay more than $1600 per month salary for those who work overt time that computer engineer is an automatic non exempt employee by one particular Federal job act law and there are some more laws on top of that..

Obviously you forgot Kevin Rose's background..are you aware that in fact he is a developer?

Look up his CS degree dude..

At least know about the effing subject before you open your effing mouth

shareme | 14 years ago | on: Where’s _why?

you remind me of an unwanted salesperson or recruiter invading someone else's space.

Being an asshole is no excuse whatsoever whether you are covering a public figure or not in a story..

most on HN will not state this plainly but you are behaving like an asshole..please stop

What is surprising is how easy it is to compute the odds..its just permutations and combinations..not that hard its a 100 level math course in most colleges.

What makes it different is that we needed two things to leverage the $1 million he put up per Casino and the Casino management being fool-hardy enough to believe that they computed the odds on the change in rules and discounts correctly.

It would be like say oh stacking the deck in that the founders get one class of stock and everyone else another class which allows the founders to retain ownership control of a start-up.

You do not need to card count as he changed the rules to only have hand shuffled six decks in the shoe..I can with a certain memory system compute the odds on cards dealt from that shoe and so can you..its not hard..its simple math..

I think we have missed the un-mentioned point...

What does this say about Twitter that they have to buy product staff? What does that say about the value of their IPO?

The Thiel proposition would be, long-term, we should be betting against every one who IPO'd thus far.
