on: Ask HN: What resources exist to help me build my own PCB boards?
Thank you!
I realised, that I was looking for a text book for electronics, because online courses had confused me as I had been doing it without a reference text. The Art of electronics, (PDF, IIIrd edition) appears to be the one I had been looking for. I shall definitely be checking seedstudio as well.

on: Facebook is redesigning its core app
Facebook needs a good thought on the user, friends of Zuckerberg, before doing anything fruitful to their core app. More than minor cosmetic changes, what is required is the experience of staying in touch with 'friends' not advertisers throwing a net of posts for potential catches, likers! For that, people & their faces should be more visible on the screens rather than that big repost of the day, that is going viral.

on: Ask HN: What should I do when I'm bored with my career?
Wish I had an answer to your question. But, you can try living alone in a jungle & do the necessary things for basic survival, cultivate, hunt, cook, tailor, etc. Those activities can help you get a new interest in regular things & after a period of such stay, mundane things would appear interesting to live for.

on: Ask HN: Knowing what we know about Facebook, why do you still have an account?
Not long ago I closed my Linkedin account because where I live, far eastern India, recruiters hardly use linkedin for anything & the rest did not find me employable either. I had been using Facebook in the hope of staying in touch with friends but of late I feel that my friends posting their lives not to connect, but to gather likes & comments. I shall close it too! Instagram, I use to follow interesting people, but is connected to my Facebook. I don't need that addiction too & hope to close all cyber social nuisance in near future!

on: Ask HN: The sustainability of home delivery?
Sustainability in home delivery? Where delivery guys do not charge you, everyone delivers everyones packages, the order is usually picked up from the deliverer's closest store, full guarantee on delivered goods, your social media friends deliver to you & you deliver to your friends. We are currently working on such an idea as a side project at www.justsendmesome.wordpress.com. If that interests you, kindly reply!

on: Ask HN: How do you know if you're just not cut out for software engineering?
Something similar happens to me everytime I get into a job & later, in a couple months time, I have to quit. I have found that the remote way of work suits me, but have not been succesful in gaining financial independence from such jobs. My problem, I guess is stress & some type of bleakness/hopelessness that develops from continuing at the job that I engage myself in. I have absolutely no issues with co workers or with the companies, but with time, I start losing all kind of hope from the job & in my future. I dont know if this only happens with me or anyone else but somewhere I feel that I am not built for 'jobs' like everyone does!

on: How do i make 1M friends who always respond to my messages within 1 min
A web based fire alert system can help. The system becomes responsive by broadcasting a Help message to the million friends if one of them raises an alarm.

on: How to Build an MVP App Without Writing Code
It sounds outdated, but I miss Flash which was so good to create stupid stuff such as UIs & applications! These resources are limited to the one & only problem they are designed for!

on: What's the difference between apps we cherish vs. regret?
What makes an app cherishable? Likes, money & payments for free, comments, imaginary services for non existing problems? I doubt there will be any app that would be cherishable in the long run until it helps fill my tummy, makes clean air out of smoke, or makes potable water out of dirt!

on: Internxt – Silicon Valley's New Internet Is Here
I had a cloud of doubt a couple of years ago that secret agencies were already using unknown resources of non technical computer users to get their things running faster or stored better. It has arrived, but late as a service for people in general!

on: Ask HN: Does anyone find LinkedIn useful?
I got two small gigs & had about 150 connections, all or most of them people whom I personally knew. But none, I felt did anything useful professionally, apart aniversary wishing at office jobs. Linkedin might be useful someday in the future as 'remote' is picking up, but I do not like spending time there & hence closed my linkedin account & chose a lighter online CV which do not spam me with unwanted group postings. And I also feel that post linkedin I am taking less advise of experts, which in some way is boosting my morale!

on: Ask HN: How soon will electric cars replace gasoline cars?
Very soon! Though not a researched opinion, but still a calculated guess! AI would play a role as most people would not be rich enough to go for fossil cars in the near future. Second, battery packs manufacturers would soon be replacing car engines with electric components. Third, crude oil politics would fade soon, though the price of crude had never been a hindrance in the acceptance of the electric tech, but it did play a role. Fourth, a wild guess, people would feel the need to travel less as tech would help them to do work from home.

on: Ask HN: Would you get a degree in something you know or something new?
Naturally, my choice would be something I do not know or wish to learn more. But at the same time there can not be an entry into some course module if you do not have the requisite basic degrees in the field you want to study. Eg, I want to study Astrophysics/ Aviation by my qualifying degrees are no where near the field I wish to study. Whatever is hot, especially in disciplines such as computer science or IT can be learnt through self study. But when the choice is something beyond available technology can offer? Good question! Made me reconsider my aspirations & dreams versus my capabilities & priorities.

Not all arts makes it to a world class museum or an international record release. The rest are bad arts with lesser acceptance but with more producers of such art! Hah!

on: 4chan: The Skeleton Key to the Rise of Trump
Since the first post was moderated, I would be naive to mention that Democracy as a government by, of, for the people, every kind of people have the right to vote or stand for elections. A certain type of a leadership might be detrimental to a certain class of people. And it is a world of make belief.. believe that, basement residing kids are not robbing the town by sitting at their machines. Believe that, elections & politics are reinforcements of a culture which worship power & considers that not observing these rituals would cause harm in the long run.
