Good to see I’m not the only person that’s been thinking about this. Wedging gargantuan GPUs onto boards and into cases, sometimes needing support struts even, and pumping hundreds of watts through a power cable makes little sense to me. The CPU, RAM, these should be modules or cards on the GPU. Imagine that! CPU cards might be back..

I might be wrong but doesn’t he mention at the start that the effect isn’t possible on real hardware? Like there’s an emulator trick happening? I’m not diminishing the skill involved in this but if it requires a trick in the emulator it can’t be said that a person could have accomplished this on the hardware at the time

I cannot conceive of a pay package to a single person ever needing to be that astronomically high.

It feels like the world is entering some kind of ultra-late-stage MMO economy where the numbers have stopped making any sense at all. Truly, there HAS to be a better way, right?

vincheezel | 1 year ago | on: Almost unfixable "Sinkclose" bug affects AMD chips

or you buy, or are given a previously compromised CPU :/ or even, I guess, use a rented server with a compromised CPU. correct me if I’m wrong though, I assume this exploit is serious because it persists even after the operating system is wiped and exists in the firmware of the processor?

I’m not OP but I use YouTube a lot. I would assume two reasons:

Some people would rather scalp themselves than create a google account (valid)

Even when logged in and using the “Not interested” or the “don’t recommend channel” button, YouTube will sometimes straight up ignore you.

vincheezel | 2 years ago | on: Looking into the Stadia Controller Bluetooth Mode Website

Why even have a deadline? Why not just release the firmware to the public? What does google gain from stopping people converting stadia controllers to Bluetooth in the future?

I can already see issues like people who bought new old stock who can no longer do anything with them.

The best case scenario is they release a toolkit to flash your own firmware so people can hack on the now completely otherwise useless controllers.

>westpac

(Not so) fun fact, Westpacs account password policy requires the following:

6 characters. Not minimum. 6 exactly. (!!!)

Includes at least 1 number and one letter

No special characters, spaces or repeating characters

And it’s case insensitive! Very convenient indeed if your caps lock is broken or something

There are sites where you can purchase and download different world regions CD keys. I'd first remove CS:GO from your library completely (steam offers a way to do this) then activate the German version of the game. There is built in censoring for death/blood/corpse ragdolls afaik.
