haha... build more walls...

Bring the world back to isolation, then what follows? Wars, and destruction of what we have accomplished after the two world wars. Beware of the slippery slope, my friends. It sickens me to see people using silly rhetorics to rationalize this kind of dangerous moves: * We are doing this for your security... * Because C has been bad, we need to do the same BAD things... * We should attack Q because we believe they are planning something bad... ...

Very disappointed, I thought democracy is better than this. What difference do you make when you adopt the same approach that you criticized? As far as I know, there are many people in China who once almost believe in democracy and freedom of speech, who managed to get across the Great Fire Wall, end up facing the same Great Trump Wall.

I have to second this. The problem described in the article is how cheap phones get exploited by malwares and apps that come preinstalled on them. This could be the reason why they become so cheap in the first place, both the manufacturers and distributors could have been collaborating with the app makers. I seriously doubt any brand would intentionally pre-install any money-stealing app to damage their long term business. Without looking into the details of the specific apps and how they got installed, using a title of obvious Sino-phobia and simply play the blame-China game like Donald Trump, is just lame and iresponsible.

Fascinating! In a time of ML algorithm flourished, I'm wondering if there is a way to combine as few as possible keystrokes and GPT-3 style machine intelligence to make typing both easy to learn and fast enough to match the speed of thought. As far as I know, Chinese Pinyin input methods have seen a lot of improvements in this direction in the past 10-20 years. If one could reduce the size of keyboard to only 10-20 keys, there will be many innovations in the computing devices that we use everyday. After all, the size of physical keyboard is one of the main constraints that limits the form factor of our phones and portalbe computers.

That's a interesting and real use case for upper pockets. I can attest doing so the same for both ergonomic and psychological reasons. Plus, there is one reason pockets in lower part of the torso is not very common, it is because the larger leg movements range make the weight in the lower pocket a painful experience in walking and running. The OP design therefore is not very practical IMHO.
