> the durian would still probably have the highest grapple factor among Southeast Asia’s endemic fruits. Thai exports of the fruit are mostly destined for China, where consumers tend to be more willing to work for their meals.

Actually, Durain is not that hard to process, a chopstick or a screwdriver can do the job easily, can't be harder than opening a whole Jamón.

One thing I really don't like about minimalists is they boast too much about the numbers of different items they own. Not all wears are made by the fast fashion industry as a result of consumerism. I have bike wear, climbing wear and running wears but I use them interchangeably and try to buy less because I'm relatively poor. IMO minimalists should expand their hobbies (which are rarely low-cost so they will try to optimize their spendings) rather than confine themselves in the established social norms.

I agree this is a new virus we know little about, but did you know folks in Wuhan were still gathering in crowds without any precautions [2], and ppl got caught spreading so-called fake news of this virus?

> how made fun of China was in past South Park episodes

Well, stereotypes of Chinese aren't eloquent enough to piss off the CCP. As a mainlander, Band in China is a spot-on satire about China under Xi's ruling (apart from the background music), and every threat to the legitimacy of the authority would be quenched while making fun of Chinese ppl is by no means harmful.

Even better, there are "PD 诱骗头" for Surfaces, ThinkPads and other laptops using proprietary DC ports. Try searching "PD 诱骗头" + "<your laptop's brand>" in alibaba/taobao.

Sadly the main commemorative events only take place in Hong Kong and Taiwan(Macau is not included), but you know the consequence of going against totalitarian government right?.

And you miss the whole point of censorship. It's about making people reluctant to remembering it.

> Beijing is a large city with 16,810 km² area. Building superblocks is a reasonable choice in Beijing

This is the cart before the horse. Beijing didn't start out as a large city. It is municipal annexation that makes Beijing a large city, which is fairly common in China, e.g. Beijing and Xiong'an, Guangzhou and Panyu, Nansha.

How about getting a pair of BeatsX earbuds, cut those crappy units off and make what's left a Bluetooth adapter with MMCX connectors that are compatible with your IEMs. Seems to have the best of the both worlds.

Not a US citizen, but AFAIK, a course includes lectures, office hours, assignments etc. How did he manage to fully understand the materials without all the resources that are provided only for registered students?
